The Sheltered water Coach training is for anyone aiming to become a kayak coach, a canoe coach, or a kayak & canoe coach. Prior to undertaking this discipline specific training course you will need to have completed the Core Coach training first. 
 The coach training helps you to build your skills in coaching both beginners new to the sport, or paddlers looking to develop their skills in the sheltered water environment. During this course you will explore different approaches to understanding and enabling learning, and will develop your knowledge and skills of the technical aspects of effective paddling. You will also be supported in evolving your personal coaching development plan to enable you to take your learning into practice after the course.

Please note the prerequisites for booking onto this coach training course:

• Personal paddling skill in your chosen craft
• Be a member of British Canoeing ('full Home Nation membership')
• Attend a Core Coach training course (see our dates here)
• Minimum age 16
