Experience rock climbing as a great outdoor activity in the Borrowdale Valley.

We have an excellent variety of crags nearby for an introduction to the sport - Seathwaite Slabs, Wodens Face, Shepherds Crag, Steel Knotts. These are all within a ten minute drive from our meeting place at Glaramara Hotel. The venues used are suitable for all ages and abilities.

Morning or afternoon sessions are available, or for a full day.

Expect to learn the basic skills of correct fitting of equipment, some basic knots for tying on to the rope and belaying skills. We can also teach the use of technical equipment for building anchors and protection using nuts and cams.

If the weather is poor we can go to an indoor climbing wall in Keswick.
