Highlights
The perfect wellness therapy for animal lovers! Our Rest, Restore, Rewild experience lets guests connect with the natural world as they spend quality time in nature and with animals. This wellness experience is held at the Lake District Wildlife Park, home to 100’s of remarkable domestic and endangered animals where you can switch off, unwind and develop a new appreciation for the natural earth and all its beings. The session is led by our Education and Animal Conservation Officer Lucy Dunn. It is unique and encourages participants to turn off their phone (apart from for photos!), slow down and engage with our animals. It has been scientifically proven that simply being around animals can improve mental wellbeing. If you take that step further and groom our Tapirs, hand feed our Alpacas and Donkeys and simply take the time to watch Giant Tortoises and Gibbons, it is likely to put a smile on your face. It is an experience you will remember and cherish for years to come.
This experience starts with a short walk immersing yourself in nature before spending quality time with our animals. If you have mobility issues please contact us so we can have a chat and make any required changes. Following the experience, afternoon tea at Armathwaite Hall is an optional extra. Please get in touch if you are interested in afternoon tea and we can check availability and costings for you. This experience is currently only available for adults.
