On this evening we'll start at a historic fishing village called Robin Hood's Bay. Once famed for smuggling, it's truly atmospheric. Walking along the coast and slightly inland, you'll see huge skies out to sea. On clear nights the view of the Milky Way, shooting stars and constellations is just jaw-droppingly awesome. And you'll hear the sound of the waves too. Could it get any better than this?
There’s nothing quite like a starry sky to make you feel more alive. It takes you away from the everyday and transports you into another world. You can't help but feel 'awe-struck'.
You'll find out a little more about the universe, meteors and stars. And we'll show you how to ‘fine tune’ your senses so your 'WOW' factor will be ramped up and your experience, heightened. But regardless of whether we see the stars or not, walking at night is an incredibly powerful way of reconnecting you to nature.
And those worries you had earlier? Perhaps you'll have forgotten them for a while.

The whole evening will last roughly 3-3.5 hours. The walk length is about 4.5 miles.
We'll start at Bank Top car park and wind our way along paths that'll take us slightly inland as well as along the coastal path.
Although we'll be mainly on footpaths, there are steep hills, steps, rough ground and mud on these routes too. Mud is unavoidable at this time of the year I'm afraid, but we are in a natural environment!
Obviously we cannot guarantee the weather. Nevertheless, your safety and enjoyment is of utmost importance to us. During or after extreme weather conditions, we reserve the right to change the route, postpone or cancel the event.
