As mentioned this adventure can take as long or as little time as possible, covering more miles per day the less time you decide to complete it in. This itinerary is typical of a four-day adventure! A bright and early start is required, usually starting at the iconic London Eye. After our event briefing, we'll head off out of the city, South. Passing Gatwick Airport sharply, we'll cycle through West and East Sussex enjoying the luscious green pastures that the South of England has to offer. We'll shortly be arriving at Newhaven, after covering roughly 65 miles. Here, we'll stay for the night in a lovely 3/4 star hotel where you'll be able to shower and get a good nights sleep.
First things first, the ferry! We'll catch a swift ferry to Dieppe, upon arrival you'll soon notice there are a lot of uphill sections! Don't worry, it's good for the legs. After around 20km we'll be gliding through the Forêt d'Eawy, one of the largest forests in the region spanning around 6500 hectares. We'll finish the day in Gournay-en-Bray, where we'll rest for the night. With a population of around 7000, this community is mainly one of farming and light industry. Perfect for resting and recuperating after a challenging day on the French hills!
The next 98km will be a breeze! Especially when you know that the Eifell Tower is waiting at the end. We'll pass through theVal-d'Oise region which is just north of the city. After passing through the emerald green pastures and forests, we'll slip into the suburbs of Paris. Our next stop is the Eiffel Tower itself! Upon arrival, we'll have celebratory photographs, high-fives, and enjoy the view!
The last day is one of leisure, it's time to have a lay-in, see the sights in Paris and generally enjoy yourself. Your transfer back will be via Euro Tunnel into St Pancras Station in London!
You’ll be working up a sweat. Bring along a touch of enthusiasm and a little determination
