Day 1

Start time 08:00

The typical Land's End to John O' Groats route is measured at 874 miles, but the shortest can be made at 814 miles, which is less scenic and on major roads - not ideal for cycling. Scenic routes can take around 1000 miles, offer quieter roads and a much more enjoyable experience. Although the official cycling record is 43 hours, 25 minutes and 13 seconds (Michael Broadwith) and 41 hours, 4 minutes, 22 seconds by Andy Wilkison on a Windcheetah tricycle, typically, people attempt this ride between 8 and 21 days, depending on their fitness level and what they want to get out of the challenge. More time to complete the challenge allows for more time to take in the epic scenery and enjoy the journey. Please let us know how many days you'd like to complete this challenge in and we will advise what's possible based on your experience and arrange the rest for you! Don't be mistaken, this awesome challenge requires training and a good level of fitness. You'll be on the bike up to 8 hours each day so you'll need to be healthy, fit and active to complete the challenge... but complete it, and you'll have ultimate bragging rights of completing the UK's hardest cycling challenge, witnessing the diverse scenery from National Parks, mountains, quaint villages and remote wilderness. You'll cycle through England, Wales and Scotland and see the best of the UK's natural environment from your saddle. Those attempting the challenge will join a larger group, which will be split into multiple groups based on speed. If you want to do this as a solo, or with your own private group, get in contact and we can arrange this for you. If you want alternate dates or any further information, please do get in touch. Depending on your fitness, and your route preferences, we can organise alternate routes, or trip lengths for you. We're flexible with dates and can also accommodate for larger groups and charity events, so do get in touch for more information (we don't bite, promise!)
