The Jurassic coast is ready and waiting for you this summer. Come and Join us to experience the history and the adventure that is waiting for you. With so many amazing adventures to be had in Dorset, I have put together a few of my favourites for you to come and experience with me over a weekend.
All the hard work has been done so you can arrive relaxed and ready to have a fun weekend. On arrival Friday evening you will be met by a campfire and chilli to enjoy and meet your fellow adventurers. Our campsite has full facilities including hot showers and toilets. Glamping tents will be supplied with blow up beds with both singles and doubles available. Please bring your own bedding sleeping bags and pillows.
Saturday moring will start with breakfast of either cereals or bacon rolls to give you the energy to head down to Swanage at 9 am and walk the Jurassisc coastline from Swanage to Durlston castle and on to Danacing ledge. This part of the coastline has breathtaking views along with caves and mines carved out from the victorian hunt for purbeck stone to send back to London. During the walk you will get to see guilliemots around Durlston head. Potentially the sighting of dolphins during this time of year is possible. This walk is between 12-15km and requires walking boots . If you need sticks please bring thwm along. Once returning to Swanage you will have time to grab some lunch before heading back to the camp site for an afternoon of Bushcraft skills and Axe throwing. Our bushcraft skillls will include fire lighting and building techniques. The use of axes and knives and bread making over the fire. Once finished we will head over to our purpose built Axe throwing alley to take on the challenge of hitting the bulls eye. Saturday evening is bbq night as every good camp needs bbq food along with a fire pit in the evening where we can sit around regaling the adventures of the day
Sunday Morning we will head off to Bramble Bush Bay and Poole harbour to be on the water for 10 am for a kayaking adventure. Depending on the conditions we will either head into Poole harbour or start in Studland Bay and head out to Old Harry Rocks. This trip is 10km so you will need a reasonable level of fitness. You will receive onshore coaching and will be supplied Buoyancy aid, Paddle, Dry bag and a kayak. Your guide for the day with a qualified British canoeing guide.
Your adventure will finish on return to the campsite around 3pm. With the Bank holiday why not make another night of it and head down to the beach on monday making the most of the Bank holiday weekend. Please get in contact if you wish to extend your stay by 1 night.
Included in your weekend is Glamping 2 nights, Evening meal 2 nights , Breakfast Mornings, Walking trip , Kayaking trip , Bushcraft and Axe throwing session. Transport to the events away from the campsite. Please make me aware of any dietary requirements.
You’ll be working up a sweat. Bring along a touch of enthusiasm and a little determination
