South Downs Way Firle Beacon

This walk is a nice, scenic walk over the South Downs. This walk will stay at the South Downs YHA, and over to the peak of Firle Beacon. It will be a bit steep at times, but you can take you mind of that by the view of East Sussex. The walk will be approx 13 km and about 4-5 hrs

Itinerary

We will start at the South Downs YHA Grid Ref: TQ433055 / Post Code: BN8 6JS. We will walk up the gradual but steep hill to get on top of the South Downs. Then it will plateau out. We will then walk along the relatively flat ground. Passing a radio mast. Once we have reached the car park we will stop for lunch. For about 30 mins. After lunch, we will head to the top of Firle Beacon. Once we have arrived at the top take to opportunity to take in the view and take some pictures. We will then walk back to the YHA car park.
