Join me to tackle the Poole harbour Challenge. 30km from Wareham Quay kayaking down the river Frome and heading down to Brownsea Island. With the Tides turning around 2 pm we will catch the flooding tide back to Wareham quay
ItineraryMeet at Wareham Quay on June 2nd at the public slipway for 9 am for a safety briefing and equipment check. once on the water we will head along the River Frome weaving our way through the bull rushes and sailing clubs before heading into the head of Poole Harbour. Making our way past the nature reserve of Arne with its abundance of land and sea wildlife. our target of Brownsea island will rise in the distance to guide us in.
Brownsea island will be our half way in the challenge as we navigate around the island then head back up the Harbour to Wareham Quay for a celebration drink and to regale our achievements of the day. This is by no means an easy challenge and previous experience of using kayaks and fitness to complete 30km of kayaking . This trip can take over 6-7 hours dependant of the groups ability.
