Highlights

This course is the ideal follow up to the standard Introduction to Bushcraft Course we run however its full of great skills on its own :-) We will introduce you to further skills and leave you with a good understanding which, if you wanted to, can be taken further to increase your depth of knowledge and ability. As most things in the outdoors take longer than expected we will be working in groups to ensure topics can be covered efficiently. Subjects covered;
  • Tarpology, using your tarp to best effect
  • Sharp tools
- knife - different types, sharpening, safe and efficient use – make your own mallet and bucksaw to take away with you.
-   Folding saws
- Bow saws
  • Natural navigation – sun, stars, landscape
  • Tree and plant ID (depending on what’s around of course)
  • Extended natural cordage, looking at different fibres, joining etc, withies.
  • Different types of fire lighting, taking it further and more practice on the bow drill.
A real adventure which will introduce you to many bushcraft skills. A great way to experience the great outdoors while learning. This course is aimed at mid to late teens and adults.

    What's included

  • Drink We will provide hot and cold drinks through out the day, just bring a mug.
  • Equipment All equipment for the day is provided, you will just need warm outdoor kit and either boots or wellies.

    What you'll need

  • Food Lunch and snacks for the day (instructors like chocolate too :-)
  • Warm Clothing Dress for colder than the weather forecast, we dont get the sun as much in the woods. Recommended are long trousers even in the summer.
  • Waterproofs Whatever the weather, they can provide protection from the wind as well
  • Camping Equipment A camp chair can be useful as well as a mug for your drinks.

Cancellations

If you cancel your booking: should you, or any member of your party, be forced to cancel your booking you must do so in writing and this letter / email must be signed by the person who signed the booking form. - Where a client cancels a course more than 4 weeks prior to the course date, the deposit is non-refundable. - Where a client cancels a course less than 4 weeks prior to the course date the course fee is non-refundable. Please note all cancellations should be confirmed in writing.
