Adventure Highlights

A weekend of rock climbing in the famous and beautiful Peaks. Enjoy the experience of climbing outdoors with the exhilaration of topping out onto Stanage Moor with the stunning views across the Peak District. The gritstone crags of the Peak District are world famous as a climbing venue. The texture of the rock is very tactile and easy to grip onto, and this was one of the key places where traditional rock climbing emerged in this country. The highly qualified and experienced instructors will deliver the course in a relaxed fashion giving you the skills to climb the gritstone edges safely and confidently. The skills taught during this course are: Belaying Knot tying Use of correct equipment Injury prevention Movement Skills Climbing techniques We stay at our lovely campsite with only a short warm up walk of around 10 minutes to get you to the gritstone edges of Stanage Edge. A picnic lunch will be taken near the rock face on Saturday with an evening barbecue at the campsite on Saturday night. On Sunday, after our morning session we will have Sunday lunch in a great local pub. Some indoor climbing experience is required, but no outdoor climbing experience is necessary. Beginners welcome.

    • Climbing shoes if you have them. If not a pair of grippy trainers is fine.
    • Comfortable active wear for climbing. Warm jumper and hat for the evening. - Waterproof jacket.
    • Overnight bag.
    • Water bottle.

Strict - Cancel up to 31 days before your adventure to recieve a 75% refund

Cancelling less than 30 days before results in no refund.

Refund excludes processing fees. Alternate dates may be able to be agreed at no additional cost, but this is not guaranteed.
