Our Guided Foraging Walk is a real eye opener to all the edible and medicinal plants that can be easily discovered, when you know where to find them! Day to day we pass these plants with most people taking very little notice, if any at all. Serious Outdoor Skills has created this event to bring some of the fascinating flora around us back to use.
Your guided walk will lead you through scenic countryside, you will learn about seasonal edible and medicinal plants and flowers; you will also get the chance to taste some of the foraged goods on our route and learn some interesting hints and tips for home cooking. We will teach you medicinal properties and benefits from wild plants and you will be informed about some of which to avoid due to being poisonous or even fatal.
This is an interesting and informative course suitable for all.
