This course is a great all round introduction to kayaking. No previous experience is needed. This kayaking course for beginners will set you up with all the skills you need to take up this fantastic sport. All equipment is provided. The course takes place on calm sheltered waters near Taunton. The minimum age for this activity is 8y.

Itinerary

What to expect:
This is a 1 day skills based course where you will receive coaching aimed at progressing your kayaking, making you an independent safe paddler. The course will include a journey along the canal, as well as the opportunity to practice and build a solid repertoire of paddling skills including efficient forward paddling, turning and manoeuvring, and basic safety and rescue.
What to bring:
Bring some lunch and a towel for afterwards. If you have a wetsuit do bring it, otherwise we can supply. If you already possess your own paddling kit then do bring it with you, otherwise we will provide you with a boat, paddle, wetsuit, buoyancy aid and anything else that you require.
