Highlights
The ITC Outdoor First Aid course is one of the most respected first aid courses, suitable for anyone either working or playing in the outdoors. Suitable for those needing a first aid course to maintain their NGB awards and anyone seeking a more in depth knowledge of how to treat a wide range of medical emergencies in more remote locations where help could be several hours in coming. Your instructor on this course is a former GP with years of outdoor experience, and there will be plenty of time for hands-on practice.
The Advanced Outdoor First Aid course starts where the Outdoor course finishes and takes you to a deeper understanding of many conditions and introduces many new topics. One major theme of the course is developing skills in looking after a casualty for a longer period of time – suitable for more remote environments. Previous attendance of the Outdoor Course is a requirement, and indeed to get the most out of the course candidates should be completely familiar with the contents of an Outdoor Course.
