Hire your own guide and take on the might Snowdon - Yr Wyddfa.
Snowdon, the highest mountain in Wales, stands proudly at 1085 metres high and offers so much more than simply being a great walking challenge.
The mountain which in Welsh is known as Yr Wyddfa is one of the jagged peaks that characterise the upland areas of Snowdonia and is swirled in legends and history.
King Arthur is said to have killed a giant on the slopes of the mountain while walkers will still be able to see the ruined remains of the copper mining industry on the way to the top, as well as a railway that dates back to 1896. All this, and the scenery as you’re walking is pretty special too, so it’s not hard to see why it is one of our most popular walks.
There are a variety of routes to Snowdon’s summit, each with their own characteristics and levels of challenge. All of our Snowdon Day Walks are guided by a qualified Mountain Leader who will choose the route that best suits the level of ability and provide reassurance as well as a good dose of morale boosting when needed.
