The Land of the Book: 09:30-16:30, Sat 3rd August

  • Location West Malling
  • Price from £40.00

Highlights

A live one day seminar taking a virtual tour of the Holy Land.

St Jerome (347-420AD) declared that the physical land of Israel was the key to understanding the Gospels. In light of that, join us as we explore the land that is the staging and scenery at the heart of God’s big story.

Land is the determining factor in human culture: settlements - dwellings - fresh water - crops - food - clothing - manufacture -who and how you worship - who and where you fight... all emerge from the geography. The great story of Jesus is played out in what can only be described as the most unique and diverse geographical context. Taking time to understand this land in greater detail will enhance your understanding of His-story.

In this one day seminar we will unpack how the lands of the Bible dominate and shape the events, culture, worldview and theology of its peoples, but also how the biblical authors use the geography of the land to shape you!

The event is hosted at the beautiful St Benedict's Centre, West Malling, Kent.
