“Mill, Totem Pole and views over the Severn”

An 8 mile (13km) walk starting from Caldicot Castle Country Park passing the site of the original Caldicot Castle, over the Motorway, past a quarry and off into the woods! Then descending with views over the Severn Estuary to an old mill, some ancient tree graffiti, an old Totem pole, and heading back to town. 

A few stiles and probably some mud. Bring a packed lunch and a drink. Assistance dogs only please. There is no charge for this activity. 

How to get to the start
Meet at the car park in front of Caldicot Castle. OS grid reference- ST 486 884. Postcode- NP26 4HR. What3Words- commenced.parts.suspect. Booking is essential. Anyone not on the list will not be able to join the walk.

Cancellation.

Please let us know as soon as possible if you have to cancel so that we can offer the places to other walkers. MonLife Countryside Access Team reserve the right to cancel the walk due to adverse weather, illness of leaders or any other unforeseen reason. Please supply the names, email addresses and telephone numbers of participants so that contact can be made in case of cancellation.
