The majestic steam train takes you from Warren Wood Station at Bredgar Railway, through the field and into the Christmas Woodland on the most anticipated journey of the year!

In the Christmas Woodland you'll find Christmas Crafts, Activities and a Treasure Hunt for children and adults alike to help kick start your Christmas Season. The festive lighting, Christmas music and a warming open fire all add to the ambiance.

In the grotto, the Elves know who's on the Naughty and Nice list and you'll go through to see Father Christmas himself. He's excited to meet everyone who loves Christmas as much as he does! Every child will receive a gift from Father Christmas with their name on it, because it was chosen just for them.  To personalise your visit even more, make sure when booking you give us some info that 'only Father Christmas would know' such as the name of a 'Naughty Elf' who visits you in December or perhaps a family pet name who sees him deliver the presents on Christmas Eve or a toy received last year. With the help of these facts, Father Christmas can tailor the meeting with your child to ensure the magic is still very much alive! 

Your ticket time is the time arranged for you to visit the Grotto to see Father Christmas. Please ensure you arrive at the venue at least half an hour prior to this time to ensure you can catch the train and make it to the grotto - or at least an hour prior if you'd like to do some of the activities before you see Father Christmas.

Day Time Tickets (12pm - 3.30pm) 
Adult - £15 
Child - £25 (aged 1 to 16 years). 
Babies under 1 year are £5 and will also receive a gift.
(A small booking fee applies). Every person riding the train to the Christmas Woodland requires a ticket. Children must be accompanied by at least one adult in the group.  

Dark Time Tickets (4.30pm - 8pm)
Adult - £25
Child - £35 (aged 1 to 16 years).
Babies aged under 1 year are £5 and will also receive a gift. 
(A small booking fee applies). Every person riding the train to the Christmas Woodland requires a ticket.  Children must be accompanied by at least one adult in the group.

Choose your train time with your preferred day light/dark time in mind. The Christmas Woodland will be festively lit from dusk and all walking routes (including toilets and car park) will be appropriately lit, although the area in general is very dark. Consider if the people in your party would prefer to visit in the day light/ dark time.

There will be refreshments available to purchase in the Christmas Woodland.
Dress for the outdoors, the woods will likely be wet and muddy. The event will go ahead whatever the weather. There will be canopy cover in the woods in case of heavy rain. There is short walk from the train to the grotto. The train stations and carriage has disabled access, If you are concerned about disabled access in the Christmas Woodland please get in touch. Please note, the toilets are at the main station so ensure you visit prior to boarding the train!

The train ride each way is approximately 5 minutes. Time spent in the Christmas Woodland is estimated at an hour and a half, this will be individual. You may catch the train back whenever you're ready to depart. You are free to take your own photos in the Grotto and anywhere on site.
