Rymans Pumpkins are hosting our PUMPKIN SMASHING EVENT, after Halloween. Come and join us at our fun filled family day out.
DID YOU KNOW THAT EVERY YEAR A STAGGERING 22.2 MILLION PUMPKINS GET WASTED! NOT ONLY THAT, MILLIONS OF ONCE WORN HALLOWEEN OUTFITS ARE THROWN AWAY. SO WE NEED TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT THAT TOGETHER!
From 10:30am on the 2nd November, we are opening the fields to reek havoc (safely) on our pumpkins in your Halloween outfits!
The pumpkins produce nutrients to enrich our soil with goodness!
Roll them, throw them, bowl them, drop them, stand on them, smash them. It's time to get silly and come to help nature to compost our beauties! You can even bring your lanterns back to us that you purchased earlier on in the month, instead of putting them into landfill. Just take your candles out and any other things you may have put onto your lantern and squash them into the soil too!
For those of you who would like to still have a pumpkin, to carve, or to eat, the pumpkins will be 50p each on this day.
It doesn't take long until the field is a total mess, so at 2pm, Farmer Stuart will then come into the field in his tractor to finish our job off. For those of you who love tractors, you can watch the tractor going up and down the pumpkin patch . Then the field can rest until next year!
