"Bait to Plate" Boat Fishing, Cookery & Chef's Table Experience Day

  • Location Brighton
  • Price from £220.50

A 3hr inshore sea fishing trip aboard Brighton's premier leisure fishing vessel, BIF1. Followed by a hand's on session at the Fins & Forks kitchen centred around whatever you have skilfully plucked from the Channel.

Your day starts by being greeted at the marina before embarking on a 3hr inshore sea fishing trip aboard Brighton's premier leisure fishing vessel - BIF1. Captained by the one and only "Fishy Rob". Robin is Brighton's resident sea angling expert and writer of a top 10 UK sea angling blog. With his guidance & tuition, you WILL catch your supper.
Seasonal species you may catch include bass, squid, plaice, mackerel and Neptune willing, maybe a few surprises.
The best thing about going out on BIF1 is that fishing using lures (artificial imitation baitfish) = no bait. No bait = no stinky bait fingers!
Once you are back on land the day concludes with a preparation and cookery masterclass at Fins & Forks HQ centred around whatever you have skilfully plucked from the channel. Here you can expect to learn the secrets of how to get crispy skin EVERY time and how to make our Squid bhajis, plus some other seasonal favourites depending on your catch of course. Even if you don't manage to catch (which is a genuine rarity for Rob's clients) The Fins & Forks kitchen is always stocked with freshly landed Sussex species ensuring you always get to prepare & cook some of the freshest seafood you will ever have the pleasure of, before sitting down to enjoy it as part of a Chef's Table dining experience at the end of a rewarding day. We stock a selection of Sussex's finest still & sparkling wines & craft beers which are available to purchase to compliment your meal.

National Park Experiences is a curated collection that brings the stories of our National Parks to life. Each experience offers an authentic insight into the landscape and special qualities of a National Park.
