Join expert Harry Pearson on our walk about the Battle of Byland. Set off from Sutton Bank down to Gormire Lake and towards Hood Hill, following the route taken by the Scottish army aiming to catch the English Defenders. As our return route goes up Roulston Scar hear how they went via a steep gully named ‘Hell Hole’ and a spot still known today as ‘Scotch Corner’.
