This is a 90 minute wildlife spotting experience round a small 1 mile loop on private land with Steve "The Bird Whisperer - our 5 star rated (by Trip Advisor!) wildlife walk guide who can help you hear, identify and see a range of bird & animal life which can be found in this rich countryside environment here in The Chilterns.
The start of the walk heads down to a willow tree plantation forest, where we see resident roe deer, muntjac and rabbits... and if we are lucky, one of the gorgeous foxes seen here regularly basking in the sunshine. Pheasants run across our paths whilst wrens, robins, chiff-chaff, blackcap and goldfinches all sign from the bushes and treetops. The landscape itself is covered with Snowdrops and Primrose in the Spring which are a great photo opportunity. We then head around a loop along a piece of the River Thames, where on recent walks we have encountered kingfishers, mink, various geese... and in the Spring we will see the return of the wide range of warblers we have in this wildlife rich area of the UK. Steve will help you hear, see, and learn about the wildlife you spot during this session.
The return section of the route gives us redwing and fieldfare in the winter period, and Buzzards, Red Kites and woodpeckers passing overhead all year round.
This is a much shorter route and much more suited to those who prefer a leisurely spotting exercise or the chance to take time to get some nice photos.
