Highlights
For maximising your chances of recording as much wildlife as possible, we offer a handful of 7 hour cruises throughout the year which allow us to cover and explore as much sea as possible. Our cruises cover the whole of Falmouth Bay; east, to the high cliffs of the dramatic Dodman Point along the stunning Roseland Peninsula; then all the way west, past the glorious Helford estuary, to the iconic and ruggedly beautiful Lizard Peninsula and Point. We will typically begin by hugging the coastline, searching for animals which inhabit this region such as bottlenose dolphins, harbour porpoises, grey seals and a diversity of coastal birds. We will then spend time exploring far offshore in search of pelagic species including common dolphins, minke whales and storm petrels. From when we leave our mooring until we are safely tied up again, we never stop searching hard for wildlife - nothing gets past the eagle eyes of Captain Keith who has been running these dedicated wildlife cruises for over 20 years. And we love to encourage maximum client participation to help us find and record as much as possible for everyone to marvel at, photograph and enjoy.
If unfortunately the conditions are not quite suitable to head out to sea for the full 7 hours, we will still go ahead with at least 4 hours and see if we can extend the trip by another 1 or 2 hours if possible. We initially just take payment for the first 4 hours and kindly ask that you bring some extra cash with you on the day for the remaining time.
