Needle Felting (or Dry Felting) is easy to learn and it’s surprisingly quick to complete projects. It involves a stabbing technique to sculpt wool into forms – it’s amazing what can be achieved! In this workshop, you will learn how wool from different sheep breeds can be used to make shapes, provide colour and give texture, all from using a thin barbed needle and your imagination. All materials are provided for you, and you will take away a basic kit of needles and a sponge pad, so you can start your next project quickly – it’s an infectious hobby! 
 Within a small group, you’ll have a day available for you to learn this amazing process. During this session, there will be opportunities to spend time within the peaceful background of Dorset Falconry Park, where you’ll have plenty of inspiration available to you to create your very own masterpiece. Your day will start at 9.30am where we will have a cuppa, meet each other and we’ll show you how the process is done. We will see the different types of wool that we will use and be able to see examples of other needle felted creations. 
 Lunch will be around 1.00pm (sandwich lunch provided) where you are free to carry on with your projects. Or, you may wish to take some time in the lovely surroundings of Dorset Falconry Park. There are 2 flying displays each day at 11.00am & 15.30pm, and you are very welcome to enjoy one, or both of the displays. The day will finish around 1700. 
 All abilities are welcome to join us. We would remind you that you will be using sharp barbed needles during the workshop and the some of the coarser wool will likely still have some pieces of straw-like detritus within it & does smell slightly ‘sheepy’ still.  
Minimum age 14 years old (under 16s must have a participating adult accompanying them).
