Using Exmouth and East Devon as our base, this two day course is ideal for those who have some previous kayaking experience or who have completed our Introductory course.
We take on some more adventurous journeys during this course: searching out waves and flow to bring on your skills, whilst still making time for some fishing or just enjoying the environment.
You will be learning to make use of existing skills in a new environment, new strokes, peer and self rescue, launching and landing at hidden coves, surfing waves, tidal and route planning – we give you the tools to deal with and enjoy different weather conditions. We provide sea kayaks for this course.
Ratios: 1:6 Maximum. We keep the numbers low for high quality coaching. We need at least 2 people to run this course.

What's included
- Warm Clothing A towel, warm jumper and change of clothes Footwear that can get wet, such as old trainers or sandals Food and drink for the duration of the journey Suncream, sunglasses and a hat are a good idea! You can bring a wetsuit but most people find it is more comfortable to paddle in clothes and one of our cags If you want to go for a swim in the sea, bring some swimwear Sea kayaks have lots of dry space so bring whatever makes you more comfortable There is an area to store valuables at the centre. We have dry bags which you can use to bring items such as mobile phones with you
