The Lambing Shed Farm Shop and Kitchen is set in over 400 acres of Cheshire farmland, housed in the very building where Farmer Arnold Mitchell and his son Michael reared their sheep over 60 years ago. We currently maintain a flock of over 2,500 sheep and a herd of 250 beef cattle. The Mitchell family decided to open The Lambing Shed in 2015, in order to showcase their award -winning home-reared beef and lamb, along with the very best Cheshire has to offer in terms of fine food and drink. Join us for a multitude of spectacular events on the farm.
Booking Policy
Tickets can be purchased in advance via our website. On occasion, tickets will be available on the door, however, please be aware that tickets for most events are limited so only advance purchase will GUARANTEE entry.
No entry is allowed without a ticket. Every ticket has a unique bar code that is scanned on arrival so you will need to ensure you have the ticket printed out or on your phone. ID may be required for adult only events and if under the age limit you will be denied entry.
We have a NO refund policy. If you can no longer attend an event, we are more than happy for you to pass your ticket/s on to a friends or family, you do not need to notify us of this, as long as they have the ticket to show on arrival.
Some events have allocated time slots, please ensure you stick to these as our sessions for some events will be full.
Parking is free. We have plenty of parking onsite, as well as disabled parking bays. Please be aware that for some of our larger events such as Meet the Lambs and Pumpkin Picking some of our parking all be on fields not hardstanding.
Dogs are permitted on site but must be always kept on a lead as this is a working farm with live animals. Some of our events are dog-friendly (please check individual event information).
Our events will run come rain or shine, including those events held outdoors so please dress appropriately. No refunds will be given unless severe weather conditions require us to close.
Some of our outdoor events are on uneven surfaces such as the pumpkin patch. Due to these elements and the nature of the event, reasonable adjustments do not enable guests with a disability to access all areas of the site. We take measures to make our events as wheelchair & pram friendly as physically possible, but the weather can make this challenging.
Whilst attending our events we ask kindly that you conduct yourselves in a responsible manner, we reserve the right to refuse admission or remove a guest from an event if they are not abiding by the rules. The Lambing Shed will not be liable for injuries or damages and no responsibility will be accepted for damage to clothing, or loss of clothing or belongings.
If you have a complaint that needs immediate attention, ask to speak to a manager in the Farm Shop on the day, and we will do our best to resolve the issue. Or alternatively you can contact us at shop@thelambingshed.com.
