About Peak Climbing School

Hi my Name is Stuart, I own and run a small climbing school in the Peak District called The Peak Climbing School. From here, my team and I run a number of climbing, hill walking and mountaineering training courses. We have years of climbing, instructing and coaching experience between us and always deliver the highest standards to all our clients. I have been climbing for 14 years and a qualified climbing instructor for 10. In that time teaching others how to climb and navigate around the most beautiful environments in the world has been an absolute privilege. Climbing has enabled me to live an adventurous life and has seen me climb routes and mountains all over the world. From simple beginnings in North Wales to the 4000m peaks in The Alps. I have worked with some of the largest outdoor centres in the U.K. and managed a large climbing wall for 4 years. I am a qualified climbing coach and have worked with a number of clientele from GB climbing athletes to complete beginners.

Booking Policy

Statement of Risk: Outdoor and adventurous activities often involve learning new skills in unfamiliar environments. As such these activities have an element of risk, which includes a danger of personal injury or death. Participants and/or their parents/guardians undertaking these activities should be aware of and accept these risks. The Peak Climbing School ensures that it’s range of safety management systems are inspected by external National Governing Body representatives. The Peak Climbing School reserves the right to cancel or modify any activity if it believes there to be unacceptable risk attached in offering such an activity to the public. The Peak Climbing School decision is at its sole discretion. Weather: Weather can occasionally affect some of our activities, however with our local knowledge and expertise we can usually find a dry place to climb or a quick drying area so you can still learn the skills you asked for on this course. Our Coaches and Instructors are the best in the business and are seasoned climbers happy to work whatever the weather, however if the course is completely compromised by severe weather, we have some indoor options no further than 30mins away if this is the client’s wish. If this happens the additional cost of entry to an indoor wall may need to be covered by the client. If the weather is severe and you wish not to come on the course, we will happily rebook you onto another course running on a different date or if cancelled due to severe weather conditions, within 48hrs prior to the course starting, refund you the full amount.  Data Protection: Amendments by The Customer:  A request for a booking amendment must be made up to two weeks before your booking. Amendments may be made to the time, date, activity and participants of a booking. Amendments are subject to availability and at our discretion. We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule any activity for the following reasons: Adverse environmental conditions such as: electrical storms, high winds, equipment breakages, instructor sickness, insufficient uptake or extra ordinary circumstances out of our control. Rescheduled courses will be re-allocated up to 6 months from the date of your original course. Cash refunds will not be available; however the customer will be issued with a gift voucher, of equal value. The gift voucher can be used to re-book onto any course or activity of their choice. Gift vouchers will have maximum expiration date of 365 days from the date of issue.
