Total Distance: 30+ MILES Vertical Ascent: 3,800 METRES Average Duration: 2-3 DAYS Difficulty Rating: 5.0 ROUTE INFO The Welsh 3,000’s is a tough multi-day challenge, taking you deep into the heart of Snowdonia National Park where we’ll spend 3 days exploring the best Snowdonia has to offer. We’ll begin our challenge with the three peaks of Snowdon, Garnedd Ugain, and Crib Goch before setting up our first camp and spending a night under the stars in the mountains. If we’re lucky, we’ll get to watch the sun go down over the distant peaks before hitting our sleeping bags and preparing for the big day ahead. On day 2 we’ll head North to the Glyderau, where we’ll aim to summit the five peaks of Elidir Fawr, Y Garn, Glyder Fawr, Glyder Fach, and Castell Y Gwynt. The Glyderau is extremely popular with walkers and contains some of the finest peaks in the country. Finally, we’ll continue on to the Carneddau range which hides some of Snowdonia’s hidden gems including Pen yr Ole Wen, Carnedd Dafydd, Yr Elen, Carnedd Llewelyn, Foel Grach, and Carnedd Gwenillian before ending our challenge on Foel Fras, where we’ll leave the mountains and meet our transport back to Llanberis.
