Join us on a big day out! A full circuit of the Coniston skyline, taking in 12 mountain summits, 9 of which are Wainwrights, including Coniston Old Man, Swirl How and Wetherlam.

Itinerary

We will meet in Coniston village - exact location will be sent with your joining instructions and pre event paperwork - for a chat and a kit check. This is a full on mountain day in some wild terrain and as such, anyone who is missing any item of mandatory equipment will not be permitted to undertake the activity. Once we have checked kit and introduced ourselves, your guide will lead the way and the adventure will begin. Expect a lot of uphill right from the off, we have to gain a lot of height initially but the rest of the day will be a series of smaller ups and downs.
We will have a few rest stops along the way to take on fluid and snacks and to take some pictures but these will be brief as we have a lot of ground to cover. Weather permitting, lunch will be taken on the summit of Coniston Old Man, the highest point of the route and a great viewpoint to take in the stunning scenery. On our return, there will be a chance for a celebratory drink in one of our favourite pubs, you will have earned it by this point!
This is not for the faint hearted or inexperienced hill walker. You must have a good level of fitness and some experience of hill walking. The route is 21km in length and you will ascend a total of 1540m during the day. Expected time for this route is 8-10 hours, depending on your fitness levels.
